By NITE + De Lawei

Costume design by MAISON the FAUX

What has to happen before you feel nothing less than a clown? NITE and De Lawei present The Underground: a tragicomic, musical theater show about the art of failure.

The Underground is inspired by Fyodor Dostoevsky's Notes from the Underground; a monologue by a man who has taken many blows in his life and has decided to no longer participate in the system, and to hide in his house; 'underground'. The Underground is about someone who cannot accept the way the world works, who does not succeed in playing along with the rules of the game and withdraws with all his spiritual wealth into the margin.
