MAISON the FAUX developed a variety of decaying luxuries for a multidisciplinary installation to be on display as a part of the exhibition “Abrasive Paradise”, in Kunsthal de KAdE in Amersfoort. The installation consists of different elements; a soundscape, a physical landscape and 3 iconic characters captured within a digital landscape that all together form a paradise of rotting elegance.

A "Triptyque'' of icons portray the decay present in abundance; one created out of an excessive richness that always craves more luxury and fruits de mer, one crystal and nature obsessed who in reality lits more cigarettes than sage and one over consumerist collecting more plastic than extravagance. Is paradise still the same when the enjoyable becomes exuberant?

“Fleshpot” un Triptyque has been on display since February 5th until July 7th 2022 at the exhibition “Abrasive Paradise” at Kunsthal de Kade in Amersfoort.
